报告人简介:
Prof. Dr. Changhui Peng is a tenured Professor and Canada Research Chair in the Institiute of Environment Sciences and the Depratment of Biology Sciences at the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM), Canada. He was an Associate Professor in the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences at South Dakota School of Mines and Technology (SD, USA) between 2001 and 2003. As a Research Scientist, he has been working at the Ontario Forest Research Institute for Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources from 1997 to 2001. Between 1995 and 1997, he conducted his postdoctoral study at University of Alberta and Canadian Forest Service (Edmonton, AB) after finishing his Ph.D. from the University of Marseille III (France) in 1994.
To date, Dr. Peng has authored and co-authored 2 books, 270 peer-reviewed journal papers (including 12 papers in Science, Nature, Nature Climate Chang, PNAS, Ecology Letters) and over 25 peer-reviewed book chapters and research reports. His research interests include global ecology, global carbon cycles, ecological modeling and simulation, and impacts of global climate change and ecosystem disturbances on spatio-temporal dynamics of ecosystem productivity, structure and function at both regional and global scales.
Dr. Peng is currently serving as the Asian Ecology Section (AES) Chair of Ecology Society of American (ESA), and the Associate Editors for JGR-Biogeosciences,Ecosystem Health and Sustainability, Annual Review &Research in Biology and Chinese Journal of Plant Ecology. He has been a Co-Chairs and Organizer for 20 international symposiums or workshops. Dr. Peng has served as the President for Chinese Ecologist Overseas Association (SINO-ECO, 2004-2006), and the member of Scientific Steering Committee for the joint Center for Global Change Science at Tsinghua University (2011-) and China Flux Observation Consortium (2014-). He was also recognized by an Outstanding Young Scientist Award from the China National Natural Science Foundation, (2002), Canada Research Chair Award (2003), 1000 Talents Program of China (2010), and Professional Achievement Awards by the Cross-Cultural Professionals Association of Canada (2016).
